Welcome to my Journal!
Hi! Thank you very much for taking the time to peruse my site. I hope you find my mindless ramblings and writings entertaining, if not profound, poignant and life-changing. I have been writing creatively since I was very young, and can remember subjecting my Year 3 class to endless stories that I had written over the lunch break. They pretended to be interested. We also performed skits for them, which were generally rubbish and under-rehearsed, but my teacher enjoyed encouraging creativity. Then in Year 7, I got really into RL Stine and Point Horror Fiction novels, so I wrote a series of thrillers called “Bloodcurdlers,” which my teacher allowed me to bind and put in a box up the back of the classroom for people to read. People did, surprisingly. I have to go through all my old boxes of writing soon, so if I find any juicy segments from these old stories, I’ll post them. It’s always fascinating to see how much your writing has changed over the years. In fact, the magnitude by which my writing has changed between my first year of University and now is unbelievable.
I should probably introduce myself, for anybody who has randomly stumbled upon this page. My name is Angela Trevithick, and I’m in my final year of a B.A. (Communications and Cultural Studies) at Curtin University. My major is Creative Writing, and my minor is Literary Studies. I just turned 21 on Sunday gone (the 4th of Sept.), and threw up before midnight, cried myself to sleep, then cried myself awake, convinced my party had totally blown. It took about five people to tell me my party hadn’t sucked, and even now I don’t quite believe them. Apparently, the only person who didn’t enjoy it was me, but that could have been because I spent the night hugging a bucket. But that’s beside the point. As mentioned above, I’ve been writing from a very young age, and hope to continue writing for many years to come. I’m starting to have some success with my stories, as well, but that’s because last holidays was the first time I had enough courage to submit to various journals, websites and competitions.
For the past few months I have been blogging on the website Vibewire.net. You may read my Vibewire blog on there for now, but I will eventually do some double-posting from there to this site. For now, I hope you enjoy the samples of writing I have posted, or you enjoy reading my Vibewire Blog. Thanks for visiting!

YAY! I’m the first person to comment on your website! I am soiling it! woohoo! I would like to congratulate you on developing this website and for your upcoming writing prospects! I think you’re a very talented writer and I just hope you remember me when you’re famous and touring the world, and reading excerpts from your book on tv. I volunteer to be your manager and your editor, therefore receiving a large portion of your profit. Hooray!
This weather is far too windy.
So long, suckers.

Thanks, Jess! Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I thank you for your invaluable editing help over the past years. I hope that one day I have reason to take you up on that editor/manager offer.
I agree. This weather is far too windy.

Love the site, Ange. I love the beige and chocolate layout. So chic. And the black and white photo just enhances it.
More thoughts after I rummage around for a while.

Cool Ange, posting some old school work would be awesome for comparison as well as a good old laugh, hopefully it wasn’t in the old cubbyhouse.
