Yay! A New Home!
Well this is my special domain name just for me. There have been a number of good things happening for me lately. I will list them below
1) We won our soccer preliminary final, which means we’re in the grand final. This is my first ever grand final of anything, and is a terribly exciting accomplishment. So even if we lose, we get a runners-up trophy. Last season we finished bottom of the ladder. This season we finished top (even if we lose the grand final, we still finished top of the ladder with goals and whatnot).
2) I start my residency on Monday, which is both frightening and exciting. During my time, I’ll be hosting a workshop, a dinner, a writer’s meeting and a school excursion.
3) We had an extremely successful BBQ last night, which people came to and seemed to enjoy. It has helped to start me on the path of recovery from “party-phobia.” It was a gathering rather than a party, but it was so much fun that it has helped me feel more secure about entertaining in general.
4) My essay for Masculinities seems to be coming along swimmingly, I got a better than expected mark for my creative non-fiction final assignment, and my CIT tutor told me I didn’t need to write an exegesis for my final creative project (which halves my workload for that unit). Also, I got another good response for some stuff I read in long fiction today.
5) I handed in my intention to graduate form! I’m (almost) officially finished!! Today was my final class ever, as well, which is sad, but weird. It hasn’t quite hit me yet.
6) We’re leaving in three weeks. Oh gosh. That’s not a long time at all!
